Our Dentists
  • Dr. Alanna Head

    General Dentist

Dr. Alanna Head is the newest dentist at Landmark Dental Centre. She grew up in the prairies of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and relocated to the beautiful Okanagan in Spring 2021 to begin her career as a dentist. Dr. Head received a Bachelor of Science degree with Distinction from the University of Manitoba in 2017, and then went on to pursue a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree, which she received in 2021. Throughout her educational career, Dr. Head received awards for her academic achievements, including being recognized in her final year of dental school for developing treatment plans.

Dr. Head has always been interested in a career in the healthcare field, as she finds it very rewarding to help others. She chose to become a dentist because she feels it offers a balance between art and science. She was also inspired by other family members who entered the profession before her.

Dr. Head prioritizes patient communication, and strives to help each patient gain an understanding of their individual treatment needs, as no two patients are the same. She is also committed to expanding her skills with training in order to provide comprehensive treatment options to her patients. Dr. Head offers Nitrous Oxide sedation as an option to help facilitate comfort in the dental chair. She values developing a rapport with her patients, and loves to see pictures of their pets!

In her spare time, you can find her at the beach, hiking, snowboarding, and enjoying everything the Okanagan has to offer.

  • Dr. Amanda Resener

    General Dentist

“My goal is to help patients understand their own oral health first, and then to provide ongoing comprehensive care to help them achieve their dental goals."

Dr. Amanda Resener earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in 2008. Prior to receiving her DMD, she completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology, graduating with Great Distinction. After graduation, Amanda began her dental career at a family practice in Saskatoon. In 2010, she and her husband made the decision to relocate to Kelowna so that they could enjoy the Okanagan lifestyle and be closer to family.

Dr. Resener is passionate about providing dental care to her patients while utilizing conservative techniques. Amanda enjoys all aspects of general dental service and is happy to work with patients of all ages including children.

One of Dr. Resener’s special interests is in endodontics (root canal therapy). Additionally, she is trained to offer injected neuromodulators to patients to help manage pain from muscle-related dental diseases, as well as for cosmetic concerns. For her anxious dental patients, Dr. Resener offers Nitrous Oxide sedation as a way to help relieve pain and anxiety.

Since arriving in the Okanagan, Dr. Resener has been a member of the R.V. Tucker Gold Study Club, which promotes the use of cast gold as a restorative material. The primary purpose of the study club is the pursuit and excellence in the practice of conservative dentistry, which can be applied not only to gold restorations, but to all aspects of the profession.

Dr. Resener is a student of the Kois Center, an evidence-based dental teaching center.

Outside of Dentistry, you will find Amanda spending family time with her husband and their two young daughters. For fun, they love camping in the beautiful Okanagan and beyond. As a creative outlet, Amanda enjoys refinishing and antiquing wood furniture.

  • Dr. Angelyn Salaberry

    General Dentist

“I want to engage patients to help them to feel empowered regarding their oral health.”

Dr. Angelyn Salaberry has been practicing family dentistry since the year 2000. After spending the first four years of her career in Grand Forks and Vernon, she put down roots in Kelowna in 2004 and became a partner in a local practice. In 2015, following over ten years as both a dentist and business owner, she made the decision to join Landmark Dental Centre to focus on the practice of dentistry as well as BC Cancer as a dentist in Oral Oncology.

She is dedicated to all areas of family dentistry and believes in the importance of seeking and maintaining current knowledge and experience. Her primary career goal is to offer comprehensive dental services to her patients. To that end, she has undertaken continuing education in general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, pedodontics, oral surgery and aesthetics. In 2006 and 2007, she took part in two nine-month-long residencies with a focus on comprehensive complex dentistry at the Ickert Teaching Centre (now the Ickert Dental Implant Center). In 2012, she graduated from the Kois Center Post Graduate Program, gaining training in occlusion, grafting, aesthetics, implant and restorative dentistry. As of 2015, she has worked on a part-time basis with BC Cancer at Kelowna General Hospital, both gaining experience in the realm of oral oncology.

Dr. Salaberry’s early years were spent exploring pebble beaches, forests and art studios on Vancouver Island. With a family move, she discovered the Okanagan and entered the world of horseback riding, mountain biking and skiing. She evolved into a goal-oriented individual with aspirations in science and moved on to study chemistry and microbiology at Okanagan University College, (as it then was), and the University of British Columbia. Her interest in dentistry was cultivated in part by her family dentist and her orthodontist, both of whom introduced her to the nature of the work. She obtained her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree from the University of British Columbia in the year 2000.

Dr. Salaberry has a passion for doing a job well and an interest in helping others. Her love of practicing dentistry is due, in large part, to the fact that it allows her to apply these attributes. Her focus is on learning, listening to patients and applying herself to delivering comprehensive dental care to her patients.
