VENEERS & TEETH WHITENING ARE SIMPLE & INEXPENSIVE, BRINGING YOU IMMEDIATE & LONG LASTING RESULTS

WHAT ARE VENEERS?

Veneers have many indications especially for cosmetic issues such as to close a space you may be self-conscious about or to repair chipping or discoloration. Veneers are a thin layer of porcelain that is bonded to the front surface of the patient’s tooth.

GETTING VENEERS IS QUICK & EASY

A veneer is made in two appointments.

The first appointment is preparing the tooth by removing a thin layer to allow space for the veneer to be placed. Then an impression of the prepared tooth is taken and sent to the dental lab where the veneer is custom made. After taking the impression we will make a temporary restoration. You will look and feel like yourself when leaving your initial appointment.

The impression that is sent to the lab is then made into the veneer. The lab is able to match the shade and shape so that the veneer blends into the surrounding teeth. At the second appointment, the veneer is then bonded and cemented into place. You will have a beautiful new smile.

WHITENING YOUR TEETH

Our office offers at home teeth whitening which we have found to be very effective and safe. We typically expect to see your teeth whiten about 3 shades.

  • The initial appointment is to take impressions of your top and bottom teeth. Custom whitening trays will be made using your impressions.
  • At the second appointment, you will receive your custom trays as well as the whitening agent. One of our Certified Dental Assistants will give you step by step instructions to achieve the best result.

ARE THERE SIDE EFFECTS?

  • Some patients experience sensitivity when whitening. This sensitivity is not permanent and can typically be alleviated by stopping the use of the whitening product for a day or two. This will allow your teeth and tissues a resting period. Using a toothpaste for sensitive teeth (“Sensodyne”) can also help with sensitivity.

WILL EVERY TOOTH WHITEN?

  • It is important to note that existing crowns or bridges will not lighten. Only natural tooth structure will respond to the whitening agents. It is important to whiten prior to having any major restorations completed.
